Starting this Sunday, the North Jersey Vineyard is officially accepting donations of non-perishable foods and grocery store gift cards (e.g. Shop Rite, Stop and Shop, etc.) for our new Food Bank. Please remember that we cannot store perishable items so please only donate non-perishable items such as canned or boxed foods, pasta, cereals, rice, etc.
In addition to non-perishable items, you can also donate personal toiletries like toothpaste and soap, as well as other household necessities such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.
Your continued donations to the Food Bank will help us conserve our Compassion Fund to help families in our congregation who may need help paying for rent, utilities, gas and other non-food necessities.
Remember, as Jared preached last Sunday, the definition of compassion is not simply feeling sorry or empathetic for a person in need, but rather finding a way to meet that need to the best of your ability. If you missed the sermon, we encourage you to listen to the podcast from our website. You can access the podcast here.
